Brief Timeline of our Church History
- April
8, 1951
~ First Preaching Service was held
in the Harvest Room of the Lanier
Hotel in downtown Macon, Georgia.
(This site is now a parking
deck adjacent to the Fickling
Building on Mulberry Street).
- December
5, 1951
~ The Constitution was Approved and
Signed to establish “The Lutheran
Church of the Holy Trinity”.
- May
5, 1952
~ A Store Front was leased for
Worship Services at 374 Cotton
Avenue.
- June
3, 1956
~ Ground Breaking for the first
house of worship at 2500 Riverside
Drive.
- February
7, 1965
~ The completed Pipe Organ of 768
pipes built by the Holtkamp Organ
Company was dedicated.
This instrument donated as a
Memorial, was appropriately named
“The Engel Memorial Organ.”
- November
28, 1971
~ Ground Breaking for our current
Worship Center at 1899 Tucker Road.
- September
17, 1972
~ Dedication Service of the Worship
Center at 1899 Tucker Road.
- December
8, 1996
~ Ground Breaking
for the Trinity Woods
Pavilion.
- October
26, 1997
~ Trinity Woods Pavilion dedication.
- December
2, 2001
~ Fifty Years of God’s Miracles
Celebration and Banquet.
- August
4, 2006
~ Ten Years of Trinity Woods Summer
Day Camp completed.
